The Mini Home Office {still in the making!}

The mini home office is still in the making…here it is with my thoughts…in numbers.
1. Still need another ledge to put other bins,boxes & other paraphernalia.
2. I do need some kind of tulipiere {not sure if I spelled this right} or rounded vase for fresh flowers.ย
3. I’ve had this balustrade lamp base for a while, the wood is just gorgeous but I just can’t find the perfect shade. Will it be….
The Trellis Lamp Shade or go with simple Belgian Linen?
{Both from Shades of Light}
4. I made this stenciled chalkboard/magnetic board combo to put all of my inspiration,to do’s reminders…the list goes on. A reminder to be on top of things & truly seize the day. Hmmm,waiting until the man of the house is ready to put it up. Babe, are you reading this?
And found the perfect bench to rest my purse, a Roundtop Antiques market find.
Just more things I did to get organized…never estimate the power of labeling.
I learned something from a seminar about “Interoffice Organization.” The left trays are my “In” trays, stuff I need to attend to right away. Two trays are for business ย & one is personal stuff. Then I have a “Pending” tray, stuff I already did but I’m waiting for a response before I could further act. There’s also an “Out” & means it’s done & ready to be filed.
I just have to have a separate bin for this label ๐Ÿ™‚
I had to decoupage my daughter’s old photo frame to my new favorite color combo, yellow & gray.
6. That’s actually a Mac that I drew, can you believe I still have a PC? I’m going to run my current laptop down just like I’ve had both of my cars for 15 years!
7. And the file cabinet where my fax machine rest was totally off, so I’ll probably be on the lookout for something with the right dimensions.
Everything should be complete soon!

About Maureen

Details are my passion. From curating vignettes to designing spaces. I thrive in finding the finds and just discovered the art of collecting...all while sipping on a cafe au lait & a french macaroon in hand.

  1. Hey! I love the Trellis lamp shade best, but that’s just me! That office is so stinking cute! Great job Maureen… when are you going to hop over to Alabama and help me? haha!

  2. Love the bench!

    What are the stationary and cards in? Is that a box covered in fabric? I absolutely LOVE the pattern. Where is it from?

    Love love love the organization!

    Hope you have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Trellis lamp shade! My motto in life is, never pass up an opportunity to use trellis pattern. My other motto is, don’t go crazy with the trellis pattern (or any pattern). That one doesn’t work so well ๐Ÿ™‚
    Can’t wait to see the finished results. It’s looking great!

  4. Hi Maureen,
    Looks like it’s really coming together. I really like the Trellis lamp shade for the lamp, but…you have a hanging bird cage right above where you plan to put the lamp and in the interest of “less is better” I’d go with the simple beige linen.

  5. oh my!! That Roundtop Antique find is GORGEOUS! im so jealous! if you ever need an extra hand going to awesome places like that shoot me an email! ๐Ÿ™‚
