About Maureen

Details are my passion. From curating vignettes to designing spaces. I thrive in finding the finds and just discovered the art of collecting...all while sipping on a cafe au lait & a french macaroon in hand.

    • I use old-fashioned oats. I used to make oatmeal in the miwcorave but it’s even better prepared in a saucepan. To me, oatmeal must have three things:1. Milk–poured on the cooked oatmeal, not used to cook it.2. Maple or sugar-free maple-flavored syrup (on doctor’s orders), also poured on the oatmeal, just before adding milk.3. Fruit–a must! In the summer, blueberries, sliced fresh peaches, or both; in the colder months, raisins, bananas, or both. I haven’t tried dried cranberries yet. Dried fruit must be cooked in the oatmeal; fresh fruit must be served on top of the cooked oatmeal. If raisins are the fruit, a dash of cinnamon is optional. But no more than a dash.
