Project Home Office: Form + Function

Moodboard #1

Happy Wednesday everybody! I am out of town at this time but didn’t miss any antique shopping while I’m out. Every town has amazing vintage and antique stores that are absolutely must visit and must see. I’m in Southeast Texas; Beaumont to be exact, if you happen to pass by you absolutely must check out Urban Habitat and Burns Antik Haus {it’s filled with French antiques from the owner’s escapades to French flea markets}.

Here’s a little update on the Home Office Project I’m currently working on. See the sketches of the main part of the room here. We’re going for something really functional and modern trad {traditional}.

We are repurposing some of what she already has in her home. Like she has an amazing chest from Horchow and several lamps. She ordered a natural cowhide rug as well.

1. We’re sourcing out most of the art at Art.com and we’ll frame them similarly. She loves architectural art which I adore as well. Art is very subjective and it needs to speak to the client’s wants.

2. This is the lighting we chose, double metal strap globe lantern.

3. Got the D’Orsay mirror.

4. Z Gallerie Malcolm Chair.

5. A pair of Bourdonnais File Cabinet.

6. And the Drake Desk.

Moodboard #2

1. We got a swing arm floor lamp.

2. She ordered an Eames chair + ottoman.

3. The Wilton etagere is amazing!

4. She has a pair of white upholstered chairs we’re repurposing from another room.

5. And this table is just timeless.

I would love the space to have a window treatment as it has a bay window where the white chairs are going but it’s least on the client’s priority at this time.

Have window panels + coordinating Roman shades. Drapery can just pull a room together so well. Well, what do you think so far? Soon, it will be time for accessory shopping!

Details are my passion. From curating vignettes to designing spaces. I thrive in finding the finds and just discovered the art of collecting...all while sipping on a cafe au lait & a french macaroon in hand.
