Hello lovelies! We have another post about the “Ten Reasons to Attend Design Camp” today. This time it’s from the amazing and gorgeous Ashley of Decorology Blog. I was so thrilled to meet her as she previously helped me get the word out about my new shop here. Her blog is super popular and have tons of inspiration about interior design and decorating. These are her Ten Reasons, take it away Ashley….
1. Refresh your passion
So many of us work from home as designers, and we tend to get stuck in our own little bubble. Being around others that share our interests really reminds you why it is you got into the business in the first place. Seeing and hearing about upcoming trends really gets creative juices flowing!
2. Make new and fabulous friends
Need I say more? Design Camp attracts other ambitious and design-minded folks, so you’re bound to meet lots of other kindred spirits!

3. An education about improving and/or creating web presence
The importance of having a website and an online identity cannot be stressed. Tips and ideas for creating and/or maintaining a website for your design business are covered in detail, along with plenty of examples.
4. An education in social media best practices.
A website is just one half of creating web presence. You’ll also get an education in social media, and spreading the word about fabulous creations and services via facebook, linked in, blogging, twitter, and other exciting design platforms like “Olioboard”
Two heads are better than one, and it’s a guarantee that great ideas and partnerships will be born out of lunch breaks and cocktail hours! Be sure to bring many business cards!
Design Camp’s agenda is carefully curated to provide attendees with a wide scope of design trends and vital to-the-trade related info. The conference is designed to ensure campers will have the tools they need to run a modern-day design business.
Design Camp locations are carefully considered, and therefore held in cities with a thriving design comm unity, fun shopping, and great eats. I was lucky enough to attend Design Camp in Autstin, TX, a city I’ve been wanting to visit for a few years now.

Need I say more? Meet and greet cocktails on opening night, and on night two were a great way to get things started and wrapped up!
Need I say more again? All the inspiration and learning going on at Design Camp can lead to an empty stomach, but around the clock snacks, yummy lunches, and gourmet hors d’oeuvres keep energy levels high!
